Recently I started looking for an affordable everyday moisturizer and I kept seeing Neutrogena Hydro Boost Gel-Cream in every list. This time I decided to buy one of Neutrogena’s must-haves. First of all, if you are like to buy Hydro Boost cream, you are bound to get confused between Water Gel and Gel Cream. So to decide which one is for you let me tell you the basic difference:
Neutrogena Hydro Boost Gel-Cream is best for you if you have sensitive or dry skin. The main difference between the two products is fragrance and dye color. Neutrogena Hydro Boost Water Gel has both of these which is why it won’t be suitable for everyone.
After seeing a mirage of gimmicky products, this Neutrogena Gel-cream is a refreshing change for me. It does exactly what it says on the bottle, nothing less nothing more. This might be a turn-off for those who want a lot from one product but this is what makes it work for me. Scent: Neutrogena Hydro Boost Gel-cream does not have any fragrance but Neutrogena Hydro Boost Water Gel does have one, keep this difference in mind before purchasing.
Packaging: I have to say the packaging of this product is really high-quality. The glass container is a beautiful shade of blue which makes it look really chic. The white lid on top is also perfect for tightly securing the gel-cream after applying it. The good thing about the jar is that it has a lot of information about the product, which is a rare phenomenon nowadays. Texture: Now this is what made me a fan of Neutrogena Hydro Boost Gel-Cream when I first bought it. As the name suggests it is a combination of gel and cream. This means it won’t be as thick as a cream and as slimy as a gel. It’s perfect, it stays on the skin for long enough to make it hydrated but also doesn’t feel heavy. My issue with most moisturizers was that they would stay on the skin for long and even after absorbing some residue will be there. However, this gel-cream doesn’t have this issue which is why it is my current favorite moisturizer.

Final Thoughts
It is a no-nonsense moisturizer that will hydrate your skin and will make it look fresher especially in dry weather. Having said that, if you are expecting anything more then it would be a let-down for you. For example, it wouldn’t provide any sort of glow but that is what toners are for. The bottom line is Neutrogena Hydro Boost Gel-cream does exactly what a moisturizer is supposed to do
After having been using this product for a month, I can confidently say that my skin has never looked better especially in winters. I have combination skin and in winters it would solely become extremely dry. When I started using this product, I had dry red patches on my cheeks, after three applications of this gel-cream they were gone. Since then I have not had one dry patch and this is what makes this product a winner for me.
