L’Oréal Paris Elvive Hyaluron Plump Hydrating Shampoo Review

L'Oréal Paris Elvive Hyaluron Plump Hydrating Shampoo Review

If there is one ingredient that I love having in all my skincare products it’s hyaluronic acid. It has been present in beauty products for a long time but now brands have started heavily marketing it. Chances are in the last few months you must have seen Loreal Hyaluronic Acid Plump Serum being advertised everywhere. I haven’t had the chance to try it yet but I was really intrigued when I saw they have launched a haircare range with the same formula.

L’Oreal Hyaluron 72H Moisture Filling Shampoo is specially made with hyaluronic acid to hydrate and soften dry hair. Now, I have curly dry hair so for the first time I felt that there was a shampoo made just for my hair type. As soon as it was available to buy, I bought it and now after using it for nearly two months, I can give you guys a detailed review.

Performance of L’Oreal Hyaluron 72H Moisture Filling Shampoo

Scent: There is no doubt that all L’Oreal products have these amazing luxe scents. This shampoo is also no different it has a nice fruity fragrance that will leave your hair smelling pleasant throughout the day.

Packaging: Keeping the purple theme for hyaluronic acid in mind, all 4 products of the haircare range have nice light purple plastic packaging. It is a basic flip-flop capped plastic bottle that’s easy to use. The shampoo is available in various sizes which makes it easy for you to buy one according to your need.

Formula: The formula of the shampoo is runny which is why be careful when you are pouring it out. The texture makes the product lather nicely on the scalp. People with fine hair should be careful not to put too much shampoo as it can make their scalp feel greasy.

Result: As the shampoo was said to hydrate and soften, dry and dehydrated hair I had high hopes for it. It did make a difference when I compare it to my past shampoos but that effect is quite minor. I only felt my hair to be 5% more hydrated than usual.

L’Oréal Paris Elvive Hyaluron Plump Hydrating Shampoo Review

Some time ago many brands were releasing shampoos that promised to straighten the hair. What I liked about L’Oreal Hyluron shampoo was that it focused on dry and dehydrated aspects of hair type which do not fall in the straight category.

This shampoo is undoubtedly a foot in the right direction but for now, this shampoo only works for certain people. Since I have very dry and curly air this shampoo made my hair slightly less frizzy but it didn’t vanish completely. I have tried many shampoos in the past which immediately worsened my hair as it didn’t suit me, L’Oreal Hyaluron Shampoo worked better than those. It is a shampoo I might try again some other time but it isn’t a must-buy for me.

Pros

Does L’Oréal Paris Elvive Hyaluron Plump Hydrating Shampoo Cause Hairfall?

L’Oreal Hyaluron 72H Moisture Filling Shampoo is formulated to provide intense hydration to the hair. However, its effectiveness and compatibility with different hair types can vary from person to person. It works best for hair with high porosity as it can absorb and retain moisture to a larger extent. See how to determine your hair porosity and learn if this shampoo will work well for your hair or not.

Medium to low-porosity hair typically has a harder time absorbing moisture compared to high-porosity hair. For them, this shampoo contains too heavy ingredients and doesn’t work. People with fine and thin hair have also complained about feeling greasy scalp as if the product is still there after washing it.

Is L’Oréal Paris Elvive Hyaluron Plump Hydrating Shampoo Sulfate Free?

L’Oreal Hyaluron 72H Moisture Filling Shampoo is not sulfate-free. It contains Sodium Laureth Sulfate (SLES) as one of its ingredients. Additionally, it contains silicones and fragrance, along with beneficial ingredients like Hyaluronic Acid and Salicylic Acid.

It’s important to note that while the ingredient list can provide valuable information about a product, the formulation and how those ingredients interact with your hair can also impact its performance. Individuals with specific allergies or sensitivities should definitely review the ingredient list to ensure it’s safe for their use.
