How I Used The Face Wash?

I always wet my face twice with cold water before putting the face wash. After splashing water on my face, I squeezed the face wash on my palm. It’s best to apply the product on the face and then lather it by massaging, any other way is incorrect. Then I rinsed thoroughly with water. Try avoiding using warm water, especially on the face, cold water is better for the skin. If you absolutely can’t use cold water due to the harshness of the winter season then try at least keeping it minimally warm.

Simple Refreshing Face Wash Review

Skin Type: My skin is normal with an oily T-zone in summer and dry in winter.

Packaging: I loved the size of the tube that was filled to the brim. The giant squeeze tube has such a nice green color which looks chic. All this also highlights the fact that Simple is a natural and clean beauty brand. Also, the clear packaging makes it quite easy to see how much product is left. For a product that is supposed to be used daily, this effortless tracking is nice to have.

Texture: It has a crystal clear gel-like slimy texture. I loved its texture because earlier I have only used face washes that have cream-like texture. This really felt more like a good cleanser than a regular face wash.

Fragrance: The best thing about Simple products is that they don’t add any scent. This face wash had absolutely no fragrance.

My Experience

As I mentioned before, this was a first for me with a gel-based cleanser. With foam cleansers, you quickly see the foam lathering as soon as you start massaging. Well, the gel-based one takes time and even then it doesn’t foam much. Personally, I didn’t have a problem with it, in fact, I liked it.

As I massaged the facewash into my skin, I couldn’t help but notice how much it felt like I was trying to wash my face with a giant slime. I’m not even kidding, the texture is quite slimy and sticky. It was like trying to get a handful of Jell-O to stick to my face. Even after cleansing, I got a slight slippery gel-like feeling on my face.

I have been using this face wash for nearly a month now and I feel my skin has become soft. I use this with the combo of Simple Exfoliator and they have been gentle on my skin. Earlier I used to get very small dry patches after exfoliation but not with Simple products.

However, there is one big con with this face wash and it will be a deal breaker for many. For oily skin, this cleanser will just not be powerful enough. Not just that for stubborn makeup products also, this face wash will require multiple applications. On days when I felt my face needed some deep cleansing, I used this face wash twice.

Now let’s talk about some quick pros and cons of Simple Refreshing Face Wash:

Pros

  1. Value for money
  2. Suitable for all skin types especially sensitive
  3. Doesn’t dry skin
  4. Large quantity of product
  5. The gentle everyday cleanser makes skin look good

Cons

  1. Not a deep cleanser
  2. Feels like the gel formula stays on the skin
  3. Not much effective for oily skin
